How do I create my first story?

Sign in, tap Create, and describe any idea — a brave dragon, a robot who bakes, a kid who found a secret door. Choose your author and story length. Inky writes and illustrates everything in under a minute.

Is Inky free to use?

New accounts get 3 free credits — enough for 3 illustrated, narrated stories. Additional credit packs are available for purchase. Community stories published by others are always free to read.

Do I need the iOS app?

No. You can create and read stories at inkyverse.io. The iOS app offers an optimized reading experience with TTS narration and offline access, but everything works in the browser too.

Can I customize characters and settings?

Yes. You pick the author voice, illustration style, age range, story theme, and write the seed idea. The more specific your prompt, the more personal the story.

How does the AI generation work?

Inky uses large language models to write a structured story from your prompt, then generates illustrations page-by-page in the selected art style. Each story is unique — the same prompt will never produce the same story twice.

Can I continue a story or create a spinoff?

Yes. Every story can become a series. From your library, tap Continue or Spin Off to keep the characters, world, and tone going in a new direction. Inky maintains continuity using story bibles behind the scenes.

What languages are supported?

Stories can be translated into 40+ languages from the reader with one tap. The narrative voice and nuance are preserved — not just the words.

How do I manage my account?

Go to Account from the navigation to update your settings, manage profiles, and view your credit balance. Story preferences and reading history are saved automatically.

Is my data safe?

Inky is COPPA-compliant for under-13 profiles. We never collect personal information from children and never share your data with third parties. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

How do I delete my account?

Contact us at support@inkyverse.io and we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
